To better equip UM members with investigation skills in handling sexual harassment cases, the Committee Gender Equity (CGE) invited Mr. Clifford LO from Hong Kong Equal Opportunities Commission to conduct a 2-hr training on 29th May 2024.
The speaker shared tips in resolving sexual harassment complaints, investigation skills and report writing skills, etc. and facilitated group discussion among the participants on case analysis.
To introduce the Committee on Gender Equity (CGE) and to enhance the awareness on gender equity among the newly joined academic staff, a presentation was arranged on the Welcome Reception and Orientation for New Academic Staff held on 23rd August 2023.
Presented by Prof. Victoria Lei, member of CGE, the session covers introduction of the Committee, legal references, examples, case sharing and complaint procedure, etc.
