To enhance the awareness of gender equity in the UM community, a presentation was arranged during New Student Orientation on 14th August 2017. The presentation covered the introduction of the CGE, the Guidelines for Handling Sexual Harassment and Sexual Bullying Cases and the procedures to lodge complaints, etc. Moreover, each Residential College has included in its orientation the awareness and prevention of sexual misconduct.

The Way to UM – First Lecture of University 2016/2017 (16th Aug 2016)
To enhance the awareness of gender equity in the UM community, a presentation was arranged during New Student Orientation on 16th August 2016. The presentation covered the introduction of the CGE, the Guidelines for Handling Sexual Harassment and Sexual Bullying Cases and the procedures to lodge complaints, etc. Moreover, each Residential College has included in its orientation the awareness and prevention of sexual misconduct.
GAES Workshop on Promoting Gender Equity and Combating Sexual Harassment (24th – 25th May 2016)
To strengthen the knowlege on gender equality, UM representatives were invited to attend the workshop “International training workshop on promoting gender equality and combating sexual harassement” arranged by GAES on 24th – 25th May 2016.
Prof. Maureen Maloney from the School of Public Policy of Simon Fraser University in Canada, the speaker of the workshop, shared the legal framework as well as issues about gender equality in Canada. Participants were able to gain knowledge on the relevant policies and strengthed their techniques in handling gender inequality and sexual harrassement issues.
