Welcome Reception and Orientation for New Academic Staff 2025/2026 (28th Aug 2025)
To introduce the Committee on Gender Equity (CGE) and to enhance the awareness on gender equity among the newly joined academic staff, a presentation was arranged on the Welcome Reception and Orientation for New Academic Staff held on 28the Aug 2025.
Presented by Prof. Victoria Lei, member of CGE, the session covers introduction of the Committee, legal references, examples, case sharing and complaint procedure, etc.
Training session “Protecting yourself and preventing Sexual Harassment” (11th Sept 2024)
To enhance the awareness on gender equity in the University, CGE has invited Mr. Clifford LO from The Equal Opportunities Commission of Hong Kong to offer our students and staff a training session on “Protecting yourself and preventing Sexual Harassment” on 11 Sept 2024. More than 50 staff and students joined the training.
Briefing session “A Campus of Gender Equity” (11th Sept 2024)
To enhance the students’ awareness of gender equity, the Gender Equity Officer (GEO) was invited to give a talk to the Cultural and Arts University Teams on 11th Sept 2024, with around 145 students participated.

To enhance the awareness of gender equity in the UM community, a presentation was arranged during the New Student Orientation Programme held on 9th August 2024. Presented by the Gender Equity Officer, Ms. Diane LU, the presentation covered the following topics:
