The Way to UM – New Student Orientation & Convocation 2015/2016 (20th Aug 2015)

To enhance the awareness of gender equity in the UM community, a presentation was arranged during New Student Orientation on 20th August 2015. The presentation covered the introduction of the CGE, the Guidelines for Handling Sexual Harassment and Sexual Bullying Cases and the procedures to lodge complaints, etc. Moreover, each Residential College has included in its orientation the awareness and prevention of sexual misconduct.

Visit to Taiwan Universities (3rd – 7th Jun 2015)

During 3rd – 7th June 2015, some CGE members visited three universities in Taiwan, including Shih Hsin University, National Taiwan Normal University and Tunghai University, in order to learn from them about the policies, practices and operation details in handling of sexual harassment cases so as to help CGE develop the operation of tasks such as education and promotion of gender equity at UM.

Consultation Session on UM Gender Equity Policy for Students and Staff (28th – 29th Apr 2015)

With the aim to reformulate and streamline the exisiting Guidelines, the CGE conducted consultation sessions on UM gender equity policy for staff and students on 28th and 29th April 2015 respectively to collect feeback and opinions from the UM community.
