Training session “Preventing and Protecting yourself from Sexual Harassment on Campus” (21st Sept 2022)

To enhance the awareness on gender equity in the University, CGE has invited Mr. Clifford LO from The Equal Opportunities Commission of Hong Kong to offer our students and newly joined staff a training session on “Preventing and Protecting yourself from Sexual Harassment on Campus” on 21st Sept 2022. Around  23 staff members participated the training and around 180 students joined via the ZOOM platform.

Workshop : “A Campus of Gender Equity” (25th Aug 2022)

The Department of History of Faculty of Arts and Humanities organized the workshop “A Campus of Gender Equity”  on 25th August 2022.

Prof. Victoria Lei, member of the Committee on Gender Equity (CGE), presented on behalf of the Committee to the participants the definition of sexual harassment, sexual bullying and behaviours violating gender equity, shared examples that may occurred within campus environment and the complaint procedures etc., around 60 participants attended the 1.5 hr workshop via Zoom platform.

Training session “How to Manage Sexual Harassment Complaints and Conduct Investigation” (25th May 2022)

To better equip UM members with investigation skills in handling sexual harassment cases, the Committee Gender Equity (CGE) invited 2 speakers (Mr. Clifford LO and Ms. Sandy LUNG) from Hong Kong Equal Opportunities Commission to conduct a 2-hr training on 25th May 2022. With around 50 participants, the speaker shared  different options for resolving sexual harassment complaints, investigation skills and report writing skills, etc.

Around 143 students and 33 staff members participated the training via the ZOOM platform.

With around 50 participants, the speaker shared  different options for resolving sexual harassment complaints, investigation skills and report writing skills, etc.
